A role bundles together the permissions for the systems you log in to using ZUNDA ID and the permissions for operations within ZUNDA ID. To apply a role you created to a user, you need to create a group that includes that user and assign the role to that group.

You need the following permission to view role settings:
User and Group Management > User and Group View
You need the following permission to create, edit, or delete role settings:
User and Group Management > User and Group Edit
Permissions List
As of September 25, 2026, you can configure the following permissions as a role. Following the principle of least privilege, we recommend configuring roles with only the permissions they need.
Permissions for services your organization has not contracted may not appear in this list.

Viewing role settings
Click Role Settings in the menu to display the list of roles.
Click [⋮] → View Details on the role you want to check to see its settings.
Creating a new role
Click Role Settings → Add Role in the menu to open the dialog for creating a new role.
Set the role name, groups, and permissions, then click Create. You can also assign groups later.
Editing a role
Click [⋮] → Edit on the role you want to edit to change its settings.
After editing, click Save to save your changes.
Deleting a role
Click [⋮] → Delete on the role you want to delete, or click Delete on the edit screen, to delete the role.
If the role is assigned to a group, the assignment is removed.
